Position Overview

The Project/Business Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing healthcare projects and business initiatives to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills to support operational excellence, business growth, and the delivery of high-quality patient care services.

 

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management
    1. Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of healthcare projects (clinical services, infrastructure, IT systems, business initiatives, etc.).
    2. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
    3. Develop project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
    4. Track progress using project management tools and methodologies, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
    5. Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  1. Business Management
    1. Support strategic business planning, including market research, feasibility studies, and financial analysis.
    2. Monitor and analyse business performance metrics (revenue, costs, operational KPIs).
    3. Identify opportunities to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance patient or customer experiences.
    4. Assist in developing business cases for new services, partnerships, or expansions.
    5. Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure business initiatives align with healthcare quality and compliance standards.
  1. Stakeholder & Team Management
    1. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including medical staff, IT, finance, operations, and external vendors.
    2. Act as a key liaison between management, project teams, and external partners.
    3. Provide guidance and leadership to project team members, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines.
    4. Organize and lead meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.

 

Qualifications & Experience
  1. Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
  2. 7–10 years of experience in project management or business management, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  3. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
  4. Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, regulations, and quality standards.
  5. Proven track record in leading complex projects and driving business improvements.
  6. Financial and analytical acumen with ability to develop business cases and performance reports.
