With over 20 years of experience in healthcare and senior care, Grace has held leadership roles across global and matrix organizations, driving transformation, integration, and strategic growth. Her expertise spans healthcare strategy and planning, operations transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and change management.

Before joining Tamarind Health, Grace was Assistant Chief Operating Officer at the National University Hospital, where she led the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS)—one of the country’s premier public cancer centres. Previously, she served as CEO, APAC (Healthcare) at Sodexo from 2018 to 2023, and held several leadership roles at IHH Healthcare from 2008 to 2018, where her last position was Chief Operating Officer of Gleneagles Hospital Singapore.

Grace is passionate about building high-performing teams and leading large-scale, multi-functional transformation initiatives that enhance patient experience and organizational excellence. She officially joined Tamarind Health as Group CEO in January 2025.

Sachin is a finance leader and Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience in driving financial transformation, corporate governance, and strategic growth across leading organizations in Asia and beyond. As Group Chief Financial Officer at Tamarind Health, he oversees the group’s financial strategy, capital management, and operational excellence across multiple markets.

Before joining Tamarind Health, Sachin held Chief Financial Officer roles at Healthway Medical Group, Adcorp Holdings, and Amtek Global Technologies, where he led international finance operations spanning Asia, Australia, and Africa. He also served as Chief Financial Officer at Sembawang Engineers and Constructors, managing group finance, M&A, and IPO readiness.

Sachin has a proven track record in fundraising, restructuring, M&A integration, and strategic planning, with deep expertise in aligning financial performance to long-term business growth. He is recognized for his analytical rigor, execution focus, and collaborative leadership, bringing strong financial stewardship to Tamarind Health’s leadership team.

Eng Seng brings over 20 years of experience spanning healthcare, private equity, and financial services across Asia. As Chief Strategy Officer at Tamarind Health, he drives the group’s strategic growth initiatives, partnerships, and cross-border expansion, combining his deep expertise in investment and operations.

He has led healthcare investment consulting projects across Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, and Malaysia, managing transactions ranging from US$30 million to over US$500 million since the firm’s inception.

Previously, Eng Seng served in senior roles at TE Asia Healthcare, Fullerton Healthcare Group and ViAqua Therapeutics, where he led teams across Singapore, Hong Kong, South East Asia and Israel. Prior, he spent over a decade in investment banking with Royal Bank of Scotland, specializing in corporate strategy and capital markets coverage.

Eng Seng served on private and public boards, managing investor relations, and multi-disciplinary teams across regional markets, bringing a unique blend of strategic foresight and executional depth to Tamarind Health’s leadership team.

Suwandi brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare marketing, strategic growth, and business leadership across Asia. As Senior Vice President of Marketing at Tamarind Health, he oversees the group’s regional marketing strategy, market development, and patient engagement initiatives across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the wider region.

Before joining Tamarind Health, Suwandi held leadership roles across multiple healthcare organizations, including Vice President at TE Asia Healthcare Partners, President Director at Adi Husada Cancer Center, and Country Lead for Indonesia at Integrated Oncology Centres (IOC).

Earlier in his career, Suwandi spent over 13 years at Parkway Hospitals Singapore, where he progressed from Senior Manager to Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Services, building deep expertise in patient engagement, hospital marketing operations, and brand management.

Suwandi is recognized for his strong commercial acumen, strategic leadership, and ability to drive cross-border brand growth in the evolving oncology and specialty healthcare landscape.

Bob brings extensive experience across healthcare investment, corporate development, and management consulting, with a career spanning Asia, Australia, and the United States. As Senior Vice President of Operations and Corporate Development at Tamarind Health, he drives strategic initiatives, acquisitions, partnerships, and business transformation across the group’s oncology network.

Before joining Tamarind Health, Bob was Executive Director at Tikehau Capital, where he led healthcare investments and portfolio value creation across the Asia-Pacific region. He previously held a senior investment role at Seidler Equity Australia and also worked at Archer Capital in Sydney.

He began his career as a Consultant at Bain & Company in New York, Shanghai, and Sydney, advising clients on growth strategy and operational excellence.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from University of New South Wales and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, combining clinical insight with financial and operational acumen to advance Tamarind Health’s mission of delivering world-class oncology care across Asia.

Joanne is a strategic communications and transformation leader with over 15 years of experience spanning healthcare, technology, and consumer sectors across Asia. As Vice President of Group Brand & Communications at Tamarind Health, she leads the group’s regional brand strategy, digital presence, and corporate communications across four key markets. Her work focuses on building trust, integration, and alignment across Tamarind Health’s growing network of specialist healthcare brands.

Before joining Tamarind Health, Joanne was Head of Corporate Services at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), where she led corporate planning, branding, philanthropy, and patient engagement. Prior to that, she held senior regional marketing roles at Philips, LinkedIn, and Smaato, where she drove business transformation, digital marketing, and stakeholder partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region.

Joanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (International Business) from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, and is dedicated to creating clarity in complexity—connecting people, purpose, and strategy to drive meaningful, lasting impact.

Cliff serves on the Board of Tamarind Health and is the Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Templewater.

Francis serves on the Board of Tamarind Health and is Managing Director and Chief Corporate Officer at 65 Equity Partners.

Dr Tay Miah Hiang serves on the Board of Tamarind Health. He is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at OncoCare Cancer Centre with over 30 years of clinical experience. Known for his patient-first and compassionate approach, his subspecialty interests include lung, gastrointestinal (stomach, colon, rectum), hepatobiliary, and genitourinary cancers (liver, prostate, kidney, testicular, bladder), as well as brain tumors and gynecological cancers (ovarian, uterine, cervical).

Before joining OncoCare, Dr Tay served as a Consultant at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, where he led Patient Education and Survivorship programmes—championing informed and empowered care. After moving into private practice, he went on to be the elected Chairman of Gleneagles Medical Advisory Board from 2014 to 2016. He was an elected member of the Singapore Medical Council from 2017 to 2023, contributing to healthcare governance and upholding ethical standards. Dr Tay also served on the board of the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) from 2006 to 2015, including a term as Chairperson from 2011 to 2013. He continues to contribute today as an advisor.

Beyond his clinical and governance roles, Dr Tay is deeply committed to education, philanthropy and youth development. Drawing inspiration from his own background as a bursary recipient, he founded the OncoCare Medical Bursary at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine to support financially challenged students. 

He has also played a significant role in nurturing junior squash talent in Singapore by sponsoring national youth tournaments and creating the “Singapore Next Rising Star” award to inspire young athletes. His commitment to giving back extends to the broader community. He led a fundraising walkathon in support of the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, and under his leadership, OncoCare actively participated in the Children’s Cancer Foundation’s Hair for Hope initiative.

Dr Tay’s dedication to medical excellence, community outreach and socially responsible care continues to empower patients, support future generations of healthcare professionals, and uplift underserved communities.

He is fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Teochew, Malay, and Bahasa Indonesia, enabling him to communicate meaningfully with patients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Dr Ang Peng Tiam

Dr Ang Peng Tiam serves on the Board of Tamarind Health. He is the Medical Director and Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at Parkway Cancer Centre, with over 40 years of clinical experience. A well-known leader in the field of cancer care, he has a strong local and regional following of patients from Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and beyond.

Dr Ang was the Founding Head and Senior Consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology, Singapore General Hospital.  He held the concurrent appointment of Clinical Associate Professor at National University of Singapore.  He was instrumental in establishing Medical Oncology as a speciality in Singapore and training a generation of medical oncologists, many of whom have gone on to leadership positions both in the public and private sector.

Dr Ang was one of the Founder Doctors of Singapore Cancer Centre. The company was listed in the Singapore Exchange as TalkMed in January 2014 and Dr Ang remained the Chief Executive Officer from incorporation until it was delisted in September 2025.  He is currently a board member in Tamarind Health, which now wholly owns TalkMed and all its subsidiaries.

Besides his clinical role, Dr Ang was the longest serving council member in Singapore Cancer Society. He was previously the Vice-Chairman of Singapore Cancer Society.  He has served in many posts including Chairman pf Public Education and Chairman of the Community Partnership Committee.  He was responsible for championing fund raising projects to support the needs of cancer patients.  Dr Ang was also a past-President of Singapore Society of Oncology.

Dr Ang was educated in Anglo-Chinese School and has been actively involved in his alumni since 1990.  He has served in many posts including President of ACS Old Boy’s Association, Vice-Chairman of the ACS Board of Governors and member of the ACS International Board of Management.

Dr Ang is a believer in Christ and he worships with his family at Barker Road Methodist Church.  He is married to Siok Lin and blessed with four children (all of whom are doctors) and seven grandchildren.

Dr Ang has authored more than 100 papers and abstracts in the medical literature and actively participated in many international cancer conferences and forum.  He has also authored several books such as Doctor, I Have Cancer. Can Your Help Me? (published in 2006), Stories of Hope (published in 2009) and Hope and Healing (published in 2014).  He was contributor to Straits Times – Mind Your Body column.

Dr Ang completed his medical oncology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Dr Ang was awarded Singapore’s President Scholarship in 1977.  He received the Professor Sir Gordon Arthur Ransome Gold medal for being the top candidate in the Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) examination in 1986.  He was awarded Singapore’s National Science award in 1996.

He was conferred a datukship by the Sultan of Kedah for his public contributions in Medicine in 2003.

Dr Peter Ang serves on the Board of Tamarind Health. He is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at OncoCare Cancer Centre with over 30 years of clinical experience. His areas of expertise include breast cancer, breast cancer genetics, young-onset breast cancer, and lung cancer.

Graduating from the National University of Singapore in 1991, he earned his Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 1997. In 2000, he received the Ministry of Health HMDP Scholarship to train at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, USA, focusing on breast cancer and cancer genetics. He also qualified in the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) certifying exam and, in 2001, was among the first to achieve certification in Familial Cancer Risk Assessment and Management.

Before private practice, Dr Ang was Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist and Director of the Cancer Education Service (2004) at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, and visiting consultant to KK Hospital to establish cancer genetics services. As lead of the Breast Cancer Workgroup (2002) for the National Cancer Centre and SingHealth, he helped implement the Breast Cancer Health Management Plan (2003). He also led Public Cancer Education at SingHealth (2004) and received the National Excellent Service Award (EXSA) in 2005. His clinical expertise covers a wide range of cancers, including lung, stomach, colorectal, lymphoma, kidney, ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancers.

He is the author and editor of Illustrative Cases in Breast Cancer (2006), and he has reviewed for leading medical journals. His research includes breast cancer in women under 35, non-small cell lung cancer, irinotecan in colorectal cancer, gemcitabine with pegylated liposomal doxorubicin in metastatic breast cancer, lapatinib for HER2-positive disease, and pharmacogenomic studies in Asian patients.

A recognised authority in breast cancer, he has spoken at the Breast Cancer Foundation, the Singapore Cancer Society, and major oncology conferences, including the Singapore Medical Oncology Review Course (2007), Asian Oncology Summit (2009), and Asia Breast Cancer Collaborative Group Meeting (2010). He has led over 10 clinical trials involving chemotherapy and targeted therapies such as herceptin, lapatinib, and sunitinib.

His work has been published in journals including Journal of Clinical Oncology, Chest, Lancet Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research, and the New England Journal of Medicine. 

Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Hokkien, Teochew dialects, Dr Ang also speaks some Malay and Bahasa, and has cared for patients from Indonesia, Vietnam, Russia, Myanmar, and Cambodia.
